Learn Danish at Sprogcenter Nordsjælland

At Sprogcenter Nordsjælland the aim is to teach you Danish so that you can take part in Danish society at work, during your education, and in your private life.

The students at Sprogcenter Nordsjælland come from every corner of Nordsjælland. We therefore have 4 local branches, so that you don’t have to travel too far to be taught Danish. The 4 branches are situated in Hillerød, Helsingør, Frederikssund and Frederiksværk.

 We offer you a choice between day classes (15 lessons a week) or evening classes (6 lessons a week). If it is not possible for you to join the day or evening classes, we can offer you an e-learning course (if you are a fast learner).

The teachers all have formal post-graduate qualification as teachers of Danish as a second language, and they are all experienced and dedicated teachers. They all work in teams, and spend several hours each week in developing their teaching methods.

As a student at Sprogcenter Nordsjælland, you will be part of an international education community. Every local branch of the language centre offers you computers with internet access.

If you want to learn Danish, and if your local authority (kommune) has not already contacted you about it , then you have to contact them yourself. You’ll find the homepages of each of the ten authorities here.

As soon as we have received a confirmation from the local authority, we will invite you to a meeting with our counsellor in order to determine which class is best for you.

Remember,  tuition is only free for the first 3 years you are in Denmark (maximum). Most people take 1½ to 2 years getting through the modules, so do not hesitate to start.
